Collaborative Fellows Program
The Wake Forest-Pittsburgh Consortium (WFPC) of the Armed Forces Institute for Regenerative Medicine (AFIRM) invites applicants to its Postdoctoral Fellowship Program for fellowship positions in tissue engineering and regenerative medicine research (TERM). This new, federally funded program led, in part, by the McGowan Institute for Regenerative Medicine (MIRM) and the Wake Forest Institute for Regenerative Medicine (WFIRM), is made up of the US Army Institute of Surgical Research, and a national consortium of institutions. This massive project is dedicated to repairing battlefield injuries through regenerative medicine -- science that develops biological tissue substitutes to restore or replace damaged tissue and organs.
Two positions are currently available in the Burn Repair focus area: "In situ bio-printing of the skin for burn injury" and "Stem cells for engineering living skin equivalents." Both 2-3 year positions are located at Wake Forest Institute for Regenerative Medicine, Winston-Salem, NC. Interested applicants should apply as soon as possible.
